Advice on this tattoo?

I want, "I never asked you to forget, just to forgive." down my right side on my ribs. I haven't decided on a font, size, or layout yet, so any input would be appreciated. I'd like the font to look nice, yet not girly, seeing how I'm a guy. Also, does anyone know a nice looking language that it could be easily translated into, since I'd rather not explain my life story every time someone sees it? Another random piece of information about the language translation, I'm part Sicilian and Irish. So I'd prefer some language that relates to them. Not Spanish though. Thank you all in advance.
