Help---Need some advice please.?

So--I recently bought some rare photos of a singer off of E-Bay. I want to preserve them. I am thinking about laminating them. They are from the original negatives. He said that they were printed in a lab on "Glossy Kodak Paper." If I take them somewhere to be laminated (NOT AT HOME)--Will this damage or destroy them?? These photos were JUST printed...I had to re-post this again because nobody understood what I meant... Also...How long would my pictures last? Please let me know!! Thanks!
